Retro Films – An Education
Fashion in retro films have inspired me this week, giving me too many ideas for my new A/W 2010/11 range that I have spent the day researching.
Referred to as a educated women’s click flick, this a film produced by the writer of “About a Boy” Nick Horby. It is set in 1960s suburban and is wonderfully British. A schoolgirl Jenny (Carey Mulligan) is on the brink of making a application to Oxford university, in order to please her parents. However by associating with a glamorous older man and party crowd her daily life takes a whole different direction.
The fashion is classic, glamorous and reminiscent of a decade that ozzed style.
