Leeds Fashion and Beauty Event for Charity
West Yorkshire Businesses Collaborate this Christmas to Collectively help Ladies Celebrate their ‘Fabulousness’
The Little Black Dress Fashion & Beauty Event, 6 December 2011, from 7pm at Alea Casino, Leeds, is hosted by Temple Spa West Yorkshire and an opportunity for over 100 local ladies to get together and celebrate their ‘fabulousness’ whilst raising money for two amazing charities.
Temple Spa West Yorkshire is partnering with Alea Casino, local designers, boutiques, make-up artists and stylists. This event is a great example of investment and collaboration of people from across the region.
At 7pm ladies will be greeted by our excellent team of hosts and offered complimentary drinks and canapés on arrival. Our Fashion and Beauty Market Place will be open from 7pm hosting over 20 stalls. At 8:15pm the fashion show will commence; featuring a selection of little black dresses and seasons latest fashion from exceptional local designers from across Yorkshire.
The Fashion and Beauty Market Place will be your space to receive styling tips, beauty advice and the opportunity to shop ‘til you drop, picking up Christmas treats for yourself and others from; Phenomenon Couture, clutch bags www.lamb1887.com, W’mann Boutique, Bird Shell/ Bird Yard Boutique, Rachel Roberts of Audere, Couture Hats, Mandy Vowles, Carl Stuart, Tony McLaughlin from Mac Hair Essentials, Hearts for U Candles, Bling, InFACT Anything, Julie Fisher of Jools Clothing, Fiona Cooper Bespoke Gowns, Marmalade Jewelry… there will be a Temple Spa nail bar and also a lash bar by BoHoo Beauty, Space Wakefield.
At 8:15pm the Fashion Show will commence featuring a selection of little black dresses and seasons latest fashions from exceptional local designers from across West Yorkshire; Lucy-Jo Coombes of Phenomenon Couture, Lisa Jayne Dann (described as the as “Queen of Leeds independent Fashion”), W’mann Boutique Ossett, Rachel Roberts of Audere, Bird Shell Boutique/Birds Yard Boutique, Mandy Vowles and Couture Hats by Beth Hirst. Our runway make-up artists are Cassie Hudson from Sublime Spa, Louise Matthews from Amber Beauty and Maria Oyedele. Dishy male models will be in Carl Stuart bespoke Tailor for dinner suits.
Janine Robinson, Area Manager and Lee Pearson, Lifestyle Consultant for Temple Spa, decided to host The Little Black Dress Fashion & Beauty Event as an collaborative opportunity for local designers and beauty/fashion outlets to collectively help ladies celebrate their ‘fabulousness’ Janine says; “Our desire is to share our passion for life and wellbeing. Our passion is skin care, aromatherapy and spa treatments that replenish revive, and love to treat you well. This event is aimed at busy women and our hope is that Temple Spa becomes your personal metaphor for taking time to stop, and nurture yourself.” On the night all will receive a FREE Temple Spa goodie bag to take home, so the nurturing can continue!
Liz Warom, Co-founder and MD Temple Spa says; “Janine was one of the early pioneers of Temple Spa. She joined the business over 5 years ago and the sun came out the day she came on board and it continues to shine brightly to this day. To know her is to love her. She is one of the most dynamic, business savvy & adorable people I know.”
On the evening there will be the opportunity to explore Alea’s vibrant entertainment venue which hosts opulent décor, 2 elegant restaurants, 5 trendy bars and an ultra-modern casino in the chic and stylish surroundings of Clarence Dock. Passion Flowers Florist – Chelsea Florist of the Year 2010; will be adorning the room with fantastic fresh flowers.
Local businesses have donated amazing raffle prizes, including; The Village, Mac Hair Essentials, The Box Ossett, Passion Flowers Florist, Gala Bingo, Oulton Hall, Twobagladies.co.uk, Amaryllis, bag envy.co.uk, Eternity Bridal Ltd… All proceeds from the raffle will go to Temple Spa West Yorkshire’s chosen charity, Mercy Ministries UK, a national charity helping young women between the ages of 18-28, suffering from life controlling issues, such as eating disorders, self-harm, depression, and the effects of abuse in all its forms, providing support that tackles the root causes of these issues. Mercy seek to break the cycle of destruction, by helping one young woman at a time find freedom and restoration in a beautiful and safe home-like environment.
Additionally Temple Spa West Yorkshire this year are joining with 96.3 Radio Aire’s Cash for Kids Christmas Appeal in association with ASDA. Every year thousands of children across the region wake up on Christmas morning with no presents, we are giving ladies the opportunity to be a ‘Secret Santa’ and buy an extra present to help make a real difference to a local child this Christmas. Ladies can drop their new and un-wrapped gift under the Radio Aire Christmas tree which will be in the market place alongside our mistletoe stop!
This event will also be a finale for those ladies who have taken part in Temple Spa’s Little Black Dress Bootcamp, with Rachel Tunstall at Shape Up Training, a six week fitness and wellbeing programme.
